daredevil!

started this after finishing twin peaks as it was another rec of my boyfriend's being one of his favorite shows and superheroes and saw why after five minutes of the first episode. such an immediately well-established world that instantly sets itself apart from the rest of marvel's output thanks to its maturity and gritty tone and charlie cox is just a note-perfect matt murdock right off the bat. his chemistry with the equally impeccably cast foggy and karen is infectious, and the procedural format the show sets up for itself fits this character beautifully. kudos too to the truly brutal and expertly choreographed fight scenes - some of the best i've seen in any superhero media, and i'm not even halfway through season 1.
