watching this with your boyfriend will prove to be either the best or worst decision you'll ever make depending on the conversations you have afterwards, but in my case, it only made me fall further in love with him and for that i'll always have such a special spot in my heart for this film. the exploration of true unconditional and radical acceptance in a relationship here and affirming the flawed entirety of your partner almost moved me to tears, and it's something so rarely discussed in-depth these days when so many people are seeking someone already Fully Formed And Faultless (who doesn't exist). emotions aside though, this is also just a really fucking funny dark comedy that further cements z and rob as two of the greatest actors of their generation. always appreciate a film not afraid to Go There with its social commentary and make its audience squirm.
