whisper of the heart!

massive fan of studio ghibli like most cinephiles but still have some major blindspots and cleared up this one this year thanks to my boyfriend's recommendation after he caught the rerelease in theaters and walked out raving about how shizuku and seiji were "literally us." after seeing this stubborn girl who loves stories and writing more than anything but also can't help but relentlessly critique everything she creates and the boy who admires her from afar, supports all her art endlessly, and also teases her non-stop when she's too hard on herself, i couldn't help but fall for it too :)
